Michael Verzillo did what a lot of other people did on November 4, 2008: He voted for Barack Obama to become our next president. But Verzillo, who was a manager at a T.G.I. Friday’s on Long Island, says he was fired from his job for doing so, after his regional manager warned him that he was making “a big mistake.” Now he’s filing a lawsuit against the chain and the manager. He tells the Post that after admitting to voting for Obama, “he was falsely charged with changing expiration dates on food and leaving early during a snowstorm” then fired two days before Christmas.
