Take a Look at Mosto’s Canning-Jar-Covered Ceiling

That took some effort...

We’re still eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Tacolicious in the Mission, slated probably for next week. [Update: They’re actually looking at the week after Thanksgiving now.] But we might be even a touch more excited for the next-door tequila bar, Mosto, which will feature its own small menu of bar snacks including Mexico City-style, fresh-carved al pastor tacos. The ceiling, as you can see here, is covered with about 3,000 canning jars, which will be illuminated at night, and many of which will be filled with small objects donated by staff members and investors in the months following the opening, as a way of personalizing the space. Also note the extra-large tequila and mezcal selection taking shape on that glowing, golden top shelf. [Grub Street, Earlier]
