STAND 4, the socially conscious burger and shake joint in the East Village, is putting its money where its mouth is this Thanksgiving. Owner Jerry Rosengarten has implemented a plan to open their doors on Thanksgiving Day and feed the hungry. He intends to prepare bagged lunches for 300 people — including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, and water. U.S. Food Services has donated four additional turkeys for the event. Those in need can swing by from noon to 2 p.m. on the 24th. Rosengarten encourages more donations, from blankets to ingredients.
