OPENharvest featured a series of dinners, events and interviews with farmers across Japan.

Earlier this week we told you about OPENrestaurant’s culminating event at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, part of their month-long OPENharvest project which covered a lot of ground in Japan. Now, via former Bar Tartine chef and active Facebooker Chris Kronner we have a selection of photos from the event, which also featured the talents of Bar Agricole’s Brandon Jew, Pizzaiolo/Boot & Shoe Service chef (and Chez Panisse alum) Charlie Hallowell, and others.

Hallowell and Jew attempt to butcher what looks like a deer.
Kronner and Hallowell butchering something with a hoof, possibly the same animal.
Hallowell with baby.
Brandon Jew holding a Japanese squab.
We have no idea what that is.
