Roxy’s Grilled Cheese vs. Chez Henri: Whose Sandwiches Are Better?

Not the actual sandwiches.
Not the actual sandwiches.

It’s a question that’s plagued us for months. At last, in honor of National Sandwich Day, we’ll get the closure we’ve long craved, as Roxy’s grilled cheese goes head to head (bread to bread?) against Chez Henri’s Cuban.

Not the actual sandwiches.

The competition consists of three courses during which you, the dining public, can cast your vote. (Those of you who can’t make it to dinner can certainly follow along with Chez Henri’s Twitter feed; they’ll live Tweet the festivities.)

Here’s the full menu:

First Course (choice of):
Roxy’s fried pickles vs. Chez’s conch fritter
or
Roxy’s poutine vs. Chez’s guava bbq pork ribs

Second Course:
Chez’s traditional pork Cuban sandwich vs. Roxy’s short rib, fontina and caramelized onion grilled cheese
or
Chez’s grilled vegetable cuban sandwich vs. Roxy’s mushroom confit, baby swiss and arugula grilled cheese

Dessert:
Roxy’s grilled cheese cake vs. Chez’s boca negra with spicy peanut brittle

Dinner starts at 5:30, but you’ll need to stick it out ‘til 10 pm for the final vote count. Call Chez Henri to reserve ahead.
