Finally addressing the outdated district ordinance, established in 1996, that has made it virtually impossible for people to get new liquor licenses in the Mission, the Board of Supervisors yesterday voted to approve new licenses for Mission Bowling Club (3176 17th Street near S. Van Ness) — in a space that had not previously been a restaurant or entertainment use — and the Roxie Theater on 16th Street, which we told you a while back was applying to serve beer and wine to moviegoers.
