Philadelphia’s “great new public space,” aka the forty-foot wide space on the south side of 30th Street Station that’s been converted into a handsome walkway, linking University City and points west and Center City with a greenery, tables, umbrellas and chairs, holds a ribbon cutting and naming ceremony today at noon. Jose Garces is providing the refreshments via Garces Trading Co., the West Philly Orchestra performs and there will also be a 3-D model from Charm City Cakes on display.
