As if keeping just hatched Federal Donuts stocked with enough deep fat-fried goods to keep up with the hungry masses who’ve picked it clean each day since it opened two week ago wasn’t enough, Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook are putting the final touches on the Center City satellite of their Percy Street BBQ. The word from Cook + Solo is the the new spot will start serving smoked meat sandwiches on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Shops at the Comcast Center. Chef and partner Erin O’Shea’s menu (check it out here) features Percy’s best, conveniently served up as sandwiches. While this is surely great news for those seeking lunchtime sustenance in Center City, the question everyone’s asking is, is it too late to get a second Federal Donuts instead?
