Several months back we noted that Brick Yard guys Darren Matte and Logan Shedd were expanding downtown with Per Diem, a new bar-restaurant in the Chancery Building. We had the address a little off, via liquor license info, since the place actually isn’t on the Market Street-facing side of the building but on the other side, with a street address of 43 Sutter Street (formerly The Fountain). The place remains a construction zone despite a projected opening this month, but the good news is that the liquor license has cleared, and the kitchen looks about ready. Grub Street has been in touch with Shedd about their ETA, but we’re still waiting to hear back with exact details, and more about the menu. For now, FiDi workers can expect a new happy hour option within a month or so. [Grub Street, Earlier]
