Locanda was one spot Bauer earlier complained about re: loud music.

Apart from texting at the table, Healthy S.F. surcharges, and servers who say “Enjoy,” Mr. Bauer has another pet peeve that tends to get his readers all riled up: noisy restaurants. There are, of course, many frequent diners of a certain age who will pass on any restaurant that gets a “bomb” rating on Bauer’s noise scale, and thus this becomes kind of an inter-generational battle. Today Mr. Bauer revisits the topic long enough to praise Park Tavern’s efforts at sound baffling, which bring the volume in the hard-surfaced space down to a tolerable din; and while he’s at it, he adds, “Lowering the music when the dining room starts to fill up would improve the sound levels immensely,” lest everyone start yelling over the music and the older clientele lose their collective minds.
