Both chefs will appear together at Cambridge’s Harvard Book Store to celebrate the release of photographer/author Melanie Dunea’s My Last Supper: The Next Course: 50 More Great Chefs and Their Final Meals: Portraits Interviews, and Recipes. (Allow us to make the joke for you: What a mouthful!) The book asks the morbidly delicious question: What would you eat for your last meal on this planet? Dunea talked to chefs like Lynch, Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, and Tom Colicchio to find out.
Lynch and Shire will chat about the book, the photos, and dish dirt about Dunea’s juicy interviews beginning at 7 p.m. The tome is a follow-up to her similarly themed first Last Supper coffee table book, which Grub Street called “shockingly weird, and shockingly good.” (That edition had fun interviews with chefs like Eric Ripert and Wylie Dufresne.) Tickets are free, so we suggest arriving early for a prime seat.
P.S.: It’s a busy and eclectic week for the bookstore. Shaquille O’Neal arrives on November 19, FYI.
