Ludo Cooking Up More Fun with Foie

Foie gras crudo a la Ludo
Foie gras crudo a la Ludo

Midtown Lunch lets us know that culinary development at The LudoTruck is hardly stuck in neutral, as “Ludes” recently changed up his famous fried chicken balls to more closely resemble the original fried chicken thighs he first blew us away with at LudoBites 3.0. While this will certainly endanger the staggering number of ball jokes us lucky L.A. food blogs get to throw around, an appetizing rumor also comes down the pipeline that Ludo will offer another giant “suck it” to California’s foie gras police, with plans to do a one-night, foie-focused fete at LudoTruck sometime in December. Details to come, but here’s hoping for a less expensive version of the inspiring, pro-foie gras dinner he recently created with Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal. In the meantime, LudoBites America, the Sundance show that saw the chef and his whip-smart wife “do” America, was just named as a jury nominee for the 3rd Annual Taste Awards.
