It will be across the street from Girl & The Goat, in the Red Light space. (“Across the street from Girl & the Goat” is getting to be a popular spot; besides OON, the rumor about Graham Elliot’s new place puts it right there too.) It’s a diner that will be making its own bacon and things like that. It’s not going to look like an Ed Debevic’s, but evoke the classic diner era, although there may be something big and goaty where the Red Light flame was. And as with Girl & the Goat, Izard expects to do pop-up dinners to benefit Share Our Strength before it opens. These are some of the details that Izard revealed to Eater from Boston, where she did a book signing (see our Boston bureau’s slideshow) and cooked at Mike’s City Diner, among other things. Not revealed yet: when it’s expected to open. [Eater]
