There are a lot of events with a lot of starstudded chefs involved, but throw the name “Food & Wine” in and you get a list that it’s tough to imagine getting beaten by much. Not least because the year’s hottest ticket, Next, is among the featured restaurants, along with everything from Avec to Vie, and including one hot upcoming preview (Takashi Yagihashi’s Slurping Turtle, due to open in a few weeks). There will also be a wine seminar hosted by a Food & Wine Top Sommelier of 2011, Mark Eberwein of the St. Regis Deer Valley. The event is Food & Wine’s 13th Annual Entertaining Showcase in Chicago, and it’s tonight at the Museum of Contemporary Art from 6:30 to 9:30.
