Ah, Dolores Park. Some call it one of the most vibrant spots in the city, others (mostly the people whose houses face the park) call it overused and over-crowded. And now the Chron brings the tale of another would-be park vendor, the Sacramento-based Sausage Slinger, who applied to set up a cart at the park’s edge and were vehemently DENIED by a handful of vocal neighbors. The lone taco cart, Chaac Mool, now pushed to the curb by a different set of activists, is quite enough, say these neighbors. Hot dogs would just be going way too far. [Chron, Earlier]
