There’s a new shakshouka on the scene, as Momed recently introduced a nice-and-boozy weekend brunch deal, pairing your choice of a mid-morning dish with Intelligentsia coffee and a glass of O.J. for $14.50 and also including a bottle of bubbly (Cava Reserve) for an extra $14. The Lucinda Scala Quinn-approved Middle Eastern-influenced market and cafe’s new deal includes dishes like an organic egg shakshouka, challah French toast, skillet omelets with barrel-aged feta and wild ‘shrooms, a pita handroll of scrambled eggs, Akkawi cheese, and allepo peppers, a mezze plate, and two versions of the egg-laid Georgian flatbread khachapuri, one with Kaseri cheese and dried sumac, another with sujuk sausage. Momed’s new brunch deal is offered Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
