Squid Ink reports that the hardcore mountaineering expedition that leads to Bulgarini’s superior gelato could finally be cut short, as Leo Bulgarini is bringing his wares to Culver City next month. Hallelujah! The gelato company is taking over Teaforest’s lease on Washington Blvd., with plans to start serving gelato and sorbet on December 1st, alongside Teaforest’s mud, all under the Teaforest name. But that’s not all the man has planned. Apparently, Bulgarini will make breads for sandwiches here, hold gelato-making workshops, and is seeking a liquor license, possibly to pair his flavors with wine. If all goes well, you could even be seeing a Bulagrini truck on the streets in the near future. Check out the opening party, complete with free samples, on December 3rd, and if you live on the Westside, feel free to start celebrating this very good news immediately.
Teaforest (soon with more Bulgarini Gelato), 8686 Washington Blvd. Culver City. 310- 815-1723.
