The livers of Liverpool — a potent den of heavy drinkers and recovering alcoholics — are about to get a lot healthier now that Britain’s first “dry bar” has opened, called Brink. The Guardian says the Pimms-less pub is meant as a social scene for those in recovery, with the feeling of a bar, instead of just another “café.” Also, single women, especially from the Muslim community, feel safer there, too.
