Suppenkuche’s semi-permanent beer garden in Hayes Valley, Biergarten, which just made it open in time for the last of the October sun, gets a little national magazine attention today. Writing for The Atlantic’s Cities section, Nate Berg gives three cheers for Proxy’s innovative use of vacant land from a stalled development project, and adds, “given the number of projects that have been either delayed or stalled out, it’s a nice way to get a little extra use out of a space that would otherwise sit empty. Empty and beerless.”
