
Yesterday Grub Street got a tip that Estihana, a kosher Sushi Samba–like favorite on the Upper West Side, was closed by the Department of Health, but that they covered up the bust with a “closed for renovations” sign. Today we spoke to an employee at the Glatt-Kosher eatery who confirmed that the restaurant was indeed nailed by the DOH, but it was only “because the boiler was broken.” He said that problem has been resolved and everything now looks … kosher … for the inspection tomorrow.
