It’s contest time! We’re giving away two free tickets to Taste of Abbot Kinney, the October 23rd culinary benefit for Inside Out Community Arts that highlights restaurants on Venice’s poshest street. With Bar Pintxo and Joe’s owner and chef Joe Miller representing the affair as the 2011 event chair, limited ticket sales, and restaurants like Gjelina, Shima, Hal’s, Joe’s, and 3 Square involved, organizers are looking forward to what they say will be a much improved, more exclusive event than years previous. Now, about those free tickets…

We have two “Tasting Tour” tickets to give away to one lucky Grub Street L.A. reader, a value of $60 each that will allow the winner to sample food from each of the participating restaurants, along with a friend of their choosing, for two hours.

To enter, simply tell us in 60 words or less what you’d most like to see at the event and why, whether it be a personality, dish, or occurrence you’re looking forward to. We’re not looking for overly sincere, heartfelt answers about food changing your life or anything, we just want you to entertain us! Make us laugh or at the least, make your 60 words pop off the page. The most colorful answer will be voted on by our Grub Street editors and a winner will be picked.

Email your answers to us at Grub Street L.A. before next Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. A winner will be picked the next day. See New York Magazine’s official contest rules right here. Thanks to all for entering and good luck to one and all!
