Brendan Collins Starts Pub Days at Waterloo & City

Rather than pay DineLA $1,000 to be a part of restaurant week and try to lure in new customers, Waterloo & City owner Carlos Tomazos and chef/co-owner Brendan Collins looked around their Mar Vista restaurant and decided it was time to do something cool for their steady crowd of regulars instead. To that end, Collins tells us he just launched “Pub Days” at the restaurant every Sunday and Monday.

Collins is crafting the menus to reflect high-quality British pub favorites and Waterloo classics, with menus of options that cost just $20 for two dishes and $27 for three. The menus will change each week, and feature choices like high-grade fish and chips, margherita and spicy sausage pizzas, chicken liver parfait, pot pies, and Collin’s dry aged beef burger with Brie. Collins thinks that “Pub Days” will stick around for a while, too, with the special menus going up each week on Waterloo’s Facebook.
