Umami Burger is not only growing across the country, but also into the sky for its first two-story location and southward into its first Orange County store. Umami announces the brand’s plans for a two-story Umami Burger to open in Hermosa Beach by the end of the year at 1040 Hermosa Ave.. The location will incorporate ocean views and a sleek look befitting its new seaside home, though the anchors and gill-nets are being saved for the south.
That’s right. A more nautically-themed version of the Japanese-influenced burger joint is heading to Laguna Beach at 610 North Coast Highway, with expectations to debut early next year. The menus will be the same ones you’ve come to expect, with beer and wine, and quite possibly, the appearance of rare regional burgers.
The chain last sprang into a brand-new home in San Francisco this month, while it was announced last week that that city’s offal-loving chef, Chris Cosentino, is to be part of owner Adam Fleischman’s forthcoming Umamicatessen in Downtown L.A.
