Tryst, the recently re-swanked bar beneath Le Bec-Fin, will begin a series of Wednesday night wine and cocktail classes next week. It’s the bar’s answer to cooking classes and chef demos. Each week Tryst bartender Erik Lombardo, and sommelier Cristine Bruno will focus on a different form of liquid refreshment, how best to serve it and what foods work best with its flavor profiles. The first session is all about the Manhattan. Along with plying you with plenty of wine and booze, the classes will pair the drinks with a selection of small bites. Going forward classes will cover autumnal reds, sparkling wines and the Old Fashioned. Check Tryst’s website for schedules and reservations.
