Here’s your chance to sample Rick Bayless’ food side by side with food from some of the best chefs in Mexico. The Mexico City Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International is holding a benefit in honor of the 20th anniversary of our sister city relationship with Mexico City at Kendall College tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Seven top Chicago chefs will be serving their food including Bayless, Jimmy Bannos (The Purple Pig), Greg Elliott (Lockwood), Carlos Gaytan (Mexique), Laura Piper (Trattoria No. 10), Arun Sampanthavivat (Arun’s) and Randy Waldner (Gibsons). They’ll be joined by four of Mexico City’s top chefs, including Enrique Olvera from San Pellegrino Best Restaurants in the World-ranked Pujol, Lula Martin del Campo of Roca, Daniel Ovadia of Paxia and Jair Tellez of MeroToro.
