Beau Laughlin and Brett Cranston, owners of The Hudson in West Hollywood, will debut their next bar and restaurant, The Churchill, next Friday, October 21st on Third Street. The British name gives us hope for an atmosphere like The Wellsbourne, only for actual adults, though the industrial space and farm-to-table concept foreshadow a neighborhood hang more than a bastion of Anglophilia.

There will be 20 draft beers (hopefully skipping the Schlitz) and a daily 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. happy hour, plus wood-fired pizzas, and seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus from chef Jason Tuley, until recently found at Santa Barbara’s now shuttered Square One**. Dishes may include squid salad, eggs benedict laced with tiny flower bulbs, steak frites with microgreens, and pies topped with thinly sliced Italian ham, much of which is visible on the restaurant’s Facebook page. Coffee will be provided by Intelligentsia, while a photo booth is being implemented, and an open air patio is planned.

The Churchill, opening October 21st at 8384 W. 3rd St. West Hollywood.
