If there’s any restaurant on the Westside that could use an expansion, it’s Sushi Stop, whose aburi and low-priced sushi menu pack in students and dates to the point where less committed diners throw their arms up and head to the nearest food truck rather than wait in line. Today, Sushi Stop opens its second location right in time for lunch, down the street on Sawtelle in the former home of Sushi Mac, south of Olympic Blvd. We’re hoping this means guaranteed access to their black caviar-topped salmon belly, this time without the prolonged leg cramps and stomach growls.
Sushi Stop, opens at 11:30 A.M. today at 2222 Sawtelle Blvd. West L.A..
