Sam DeMarco first made his name in New York, then opened a string of restaurants, including First Food and Bar, in Vegas. Now, Grub hears he’s headed back east, and is teaming up with Stephen Hanson and BR Guest to open Sammy D’s in the Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. The glammed-up retro diner will feature a menu divided into sections like “Food Truck Breakfasts,” “Shambles & Appetizers,” “SAMwiches,” and “Chinese Take Out.” Expect dishes like Philly cheesesteak dumplings, fried clams, and burgers to be in the mix. The concept is due at the end of the year.
