Last year Socarrat expanded to Nolita, and it seems that now the paella specialist has its ojos set on midtown. Grub Street learns that the Spanish restaurant is planning a third paella restaurant for somewhere in the vicinity of 50th and Third, as an employee relayed to us today. Also in the works: a dessert bar and café next door to Socarrat Nolita, which will serve traditional Spanish desserts, including churros and flan. Both projects are slated for December. Olé.
