You’re looking at farm dinners with well-known chefs named things like Paul and Stephanie and Giuseppe… and then you look at the price tag and you just can’t do it. Well, we’ve got one for you this Saturday that’s at a much more accessible price. The farm is Yuppie Hill Poultry in Burlington, Wisconsin, near Lake Geneva. The chefs include Thomas Cicero and John Hudoc, who’ve cooked around Chicago and Spain and presently have a sausage shop in Wisconsin. Five courses include a Scadinavian smørre brød spread, smoked trout chowder, frikadeller and— this will sell you if anything will— housemade kringle for dessert. Dinner is $40 and BYOB.
