Back in July we mentioned that Michael Poole and Van Chau, partners behind the Fairmount pan-Asian BYOB Trio, were working on a Mexican number called Isabel. It opens today, according to the insider. The BYOB will serve an assortment of MexiCali specialities, including Queso Fundido, Chiles Rellenos, Tacos as well as more ambitious fare, like a Fish of the Day option and a tequila-spiked Drunken Chicken. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. [Insider]
