Il Pittore, Stephen Starr’s forever-in-the-works partnership with longtime menu development guru, Chris Painter, is on track to debut this week. The Insider reports that the opening might come as soon as Wednesday. After two false starts — first it was going in at Third and Bainbridge streets, and later at 12th and Locust — the Italian concept finally found a home in August at the 20th and Sansom space that used to house Noble. The two story spot will have a 10-seat dining counter and large, communal table downstairs and a larger dining room upstairs. [Insider]
