Island Creek has been getting plenty of love lately (most notably from Sam Sifton), and they’re capitalizing on the momentum with some intriguing and cheap morning and late-night treats.

We hear that they’ve introduced a new brunch special: an “Oyster Burger & Red Beer” for $25.00. The burger comes with grafton cheddar, house-cured thick cut maple bacon and fried oysters. Diners are invited to pair it with a “Red Beer,” which is their house pilsner mixed with tomato juice, horseradish, Worcestershire, celery salt, black pepper, Sriracha, green and red tobacco…and…we’ll leave it at that. Fiery!

The $15-and-under late-night menu is available beginning at 11 p.m. with build-your-own sliders (fried oyster, lobster, or crab) to mix ‘n match with tartar, smoked tomato or chile lime aioli, or honey mustard. There’s also a pressed crab sandwich, salt cod cakes, salmon with horseradish creme fraiche, and other treats that beat the sweaty nachos we typically inhale at that hour.

The new menus are available as of this week, so head on over! Also note that they’ll be at the Head of the Charles Regatta this weekend, slinging sliders and the like. Not sure about the red beer, though.
