First Look at The Daniel Boulud Tribute Dinner Menu

It wasn’t easy, but we eventually hacked a path through the tangled jungle of sundry, high-caliber food events that will enshroud the city during L.A. Food & Wine and finally, sorta figured out just what in the hell might be going on this weekend. And to be honest, we’d love to see an L.A. chef in the tribute chair, no less at the inaugural event, but really, the proceedings appear to be about the true Los Angeles about as much as The Dodgers could ever be about say, Joe Torre, so why get all bent? And it’s difficult to deny that a dinner with Daniel Boulud, Francois Payard, Sang Yoon, Rory Herrmann, Paul Bartolotta, and Joachim Splichal on the West Coast is an exciting prospect. Especially now that we see the menu. Come take a look.

This Friday, the French chef will be honored at The Montage in Beverly Hills, with a four-hour dinner prepared by a solid lineup of chefs. Bouchon’s Rory Herrmann will be joined by Payard, Bartolotta, and The Montage’s Gabriel Ask, along with L.A.’s own Sang Yoon, Joachim Splichal, and Montage pastry chef Richard Ruskell for eight dishes, at least one being made by each chef. $500 tickets can be purchased online, if you have the dough to score Sang’s pressed Iberico pig ear or Herrmann’s BLT. For the rest of us, there’s only this fine menu, featured below, to dream on.
