Cosentino Takes Cooking Channel to Ferry Building

Yep! Ketchup!
Yep! Ketchup!

Chef Chris Cosentino, of S.F.’s Incanto and also co-host of Chefs vs. City, made an appearance on this weekend’s episode of Easy Chinese: San Francisco, a new Cooking Channel show hosted by Ching-He Huang (a Chinese-Brit chef who also hosts the BBC’s Chinese Food Made Easy). Cosentino took Huang for a trip to the Ferry Building, to mushroom shop Far West Fungi, and then Huang shows us how to make General Tso’s Chicken using soy sauce, soy bean paste, and — get this — ketchup!

Also, her unfortunate catchphrase appears to be “wok on.”

Below, Huang’s how-to video for General Tso’s chicken. The show airs every Saturday at 1 p.m., and this particular episode will re-air next Saturday, October 22, at 8:30 p.m.
