Check, Please!: Armchair Critics Throw Down Over Pork Store, Pizzaiolo, and Zarzuela

In this week’s episode of our favorite, semi-uncomfortable citizen-review hour, a floral designer and event planner named Chelsea Bowman talks up the Pork Store Café, where she and her girlfriends like to convene on Sundays to cure their hangovers and gab, Sex and the City-style (“Now you’re talking my language!” chimes host Leslie Sbrocco); but physician Peter Lee found the place kind of “grungy” inside, compares it to a “subway station,” and says their pork isn’t all that great. Oh, how we love when the citizens disagree.

Lee then discusses the wonders of Zarzuela in Russian Hill (where he went on his first date with his fiancé, and which everyone loves), and “sustainability utopianist” and architect Robert West adores Pizzaiolo in Oakland.
