Just shy of a year since he took the job as chef de cuisine at Daniel Patterson’s Oakland eatery Plum, rising star Charlie Parker is taking his leave. As the Scoop reports, Parker will be replaced for the time being by corporate chef Ron Boyd, who was the opening chef at Plum and worked hand-in-hand with Patterson developing the first menu. Parker’s gotten plenty of good response from his slightly less fussy food at Plum, but now the former Cellar Door Café (Santa Cruz) chef may be headed elsewhere in the Bay.

And as Eater notes, following the departures of Jeremy Fox, Evan and Sarah Rich, and Lauren Kiino in the past year or so, “these aren’t boring times in the HR department over in Patterson Ville.”
