New York’s First ‘Beerathon’ Coming Downtown

Is beer the new running?
Is beer the new running?

Anything is possible on November 19, when 26 intentionally unpretentious bars will stay open for nonstop, beer-stained debauchery — a boozy nod to the 26 miles of the New York Marathon. Count it: 26 beers, 26 bars, and probably a 26-hour hangover. The event is happening all around the East and West Villages, and those who want to participate can still sign up for $65.00. Some of the enablers include Brooklyneer, Pop Pub, Billy Hurricane’s, Library Bar, and more. A portion of the proceeds goes to Team Fox, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research group. Brace yourselves, cowboys.
