We received a brief update on Fish’s relocation this morning. Things there are going swimmingly, according to a rep for Mike Stollenwerk. As progress keeps humming along, a better view of what the new and improved Fish will have in store when it opens next month is coming into focus. Word is the new location on the ground floor of the Independent Hotel at 13th and Locust will be everything the original is now, but with an expanded menu, a bigger bar and eventually lunch and brunch service (mid-winter and spring 2012, respectively). Stollenwerk also plans to turn out daily breakfast selections, but only to the hotel’s guests. As things begin to wind down at the old 17th and Lombard location, Fish will begin teasing new dishes with special prix fixe dinners.

In the meantime, Stollenwerk has updated the restaurant’s menus for fall, slipping in a new octopus and foie gras dish, as well as skate wing with truffled spaetzle. Check out the full menu below.
