Grub Street likes to skulk around the special cheese room at Whole Foods Bowery reveling in the cheesy bounty (no, we don’t need any help, thankyouverymuch!), and now comes word that the posh grocery store gets its own pickle shop, debuting tonight. Dubbed the Brinery, the shop, which takes over the specialty foods area, features jars from local favorites Rick’s Picks, Sour Puss, McClure’s, and Brooklyn Brine, and is “the first of its kind in the Northeast region.” We saw it coming … the artisanal-pickle boom has officially gone corporate.
