With the facts about the Hamburger Hop out of the way, it’s time to dig into the details of the main event. Chicago Gourmet, which is once again presented by Bon Appétit magazine, is taking place next weekend at Millennium Park. (Can you believe it’s already here?) Tickets are currently sold out for Saturday, and organizers have let it be known that there will be “no third party ticket offer for this year’s event,” which means you can’t depend on Groupon to come through with a last minute discount. Luckily, weekend passes are still available, as are tickets for Sunday. Already have tickets? The official schedule and full list of participating chefs has been released, and it is epic.

Along with the collection of some of Chicago finest chefs — Rick Bayless, Tony Mantuano, Stephanie Izard, etc. — the event will also feature appearances by Top Chef Master contenders Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto) and Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill), as well as Sweden’s Michelin-starred chef, Stefan Karlsson.

Then it can get a little overwhelming. There are dozens about dozens of seminars, wine tastings, and cooking demonstrations to sort through. And let’s not forget about all the restaurants in the tasting pavilions. Hopefully our guide will help. Here we go:

Chicago Gourmet 2011
