Tired of chasing down The Southern Mac & Cheese Truck? You’re in luck as The Southern Mac & Cheese Store opened today in the Loop. As one would expect from a shop dedicated solely to one gooey dish, the menu is short and to the point. Twelve mac and cheese options are available — six “Meaty” and six “Veggie.” But there is also a grilled mac and cheese sandwich, two “pretty healthy” salads, and some unnamed desserts.
Surprisingly for a Loop restaurant, the restaurant will be open seven days a week. It’ll start every day at 10:30 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on weekends. Though the outlet looks awfully small from the front, it actually seats 35 in a bright yellow room. Check out the full menu below.
