Adsum, which made an impressive showing last year when it opened with off kilter cuisine from chef and co-owner Matt Levin at the helm, but petered out after he left and the menu was dumbed down revamped, is closed! And it’s gone for good. The Insider dropped this doozy earlier, reporting that managing partner Kar Vivekananthan has cut a deal with Manayunk mogul Rich Rivera, whose portfolio includes Agiato, Agiato Bread Co., Rubb BBQ and several other projects that are in the works, to transform the 5th and Bainbridge space into a gastropub-y, small plates affair. The timeline is short. The new venture is expected to open within three weeks with a much bigger bar, 12-taps and a new menu from former Wishing Well chef, Carmen Cappello. [Insider]
