Theater Bar and Apothéke owner Albert Trummer’s trial for possible criminal activity related to his flaming drinks came up yesterday, and despite claims that he would “fight this all the way,” the mixologist pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. His sentence? A mere $120 in fines and two days community service — a far cry from the two years imprisonment he could’ve faced. Not afraid to have the last word, Trummer told Diner’s Journal he hoped to spend those days “cleaning or washing things, or perhaps I could teach the Fire Department about the flammability of different alcohols … We know fire can be dangerous if it is mishandled.” [Diner’s Journal/NYT, Earlier]
