Out the Door at the Mall Shutters Due to Flooding; Jardinière Turns Fourteen; and More

Downtown/Westfield: For the second time in three years, Out the Door has been forced to close on the basement level of the Westfield due to flooding from the mall above. The closure is temporary, but indefinite, and chef-owner Charles Phan still hasn’t had time to assess the damage. [Scoop]
SoMa: Trace, the new Stanley Saitowitz-designed bar/restaurant at the W, just opened over the weekend. Photos to come. [Grub Street]
Hayes Valley: Next Monday Jardinière is celebrating fourteen years in Hayes Valley, and chef Traci Des Jardins will be offering up a special prix fixe featuring dishes from the opening menu in 1997. [Grub Street]
Also, Bar Jules is now opening at 5:30 p.m. instead of 6, to appease opera/symphony folk. [Scoop]
