Good news for New Yorkers who are sick of hearing about how good L.A.’s Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza are: A rep from Barbuto tells us Mozza chef Nancy Silverton (along with executive chef Matt Molina) will be at the West Village restaurant for a special dinner on October 6, and that she’ll be making dishes from the upcoming Mozza Cookbook. Of course, Jonathan Waxman has his own new cookbook, the very good Italian, My Way, so the two are joining forces for the meal.

The dinner will cost $65 per person ($30 more if you want wine pairings) and will be four courses. But here’s the good part: Each course will be comprised of a dish from Waxman and a dish from Silverton. No word on what, specifically, they’ll be serving, but we’d be shocked if Silverton didn’t at least offer Mozza’s killer butterscotch budino for dessert. And she’s been known to give out free duck legs, too. You can make a reservation by calling Babuto at 212-924-9700.
