Some news out of Sonoma County this a.m.: Matthew and Bryan Bousquet, the owners of the acclaimed but now shuttered Mirepoix and Bistro M in Windsor, have walked away from their most recent project, Mamma Pig’s BBQ. The casual barbecue joint took over the space occupied by Mirepoix, but as BiteClub Eats reports, the couple had actually only signed on in a consulting capacity with the possibility of franchising down the line if it was successful. Suffice it to say the partnership has dissolved, and Mamma Pig’s has an “under new ownership” sign on the door. (Early reports are that the quality of the food has suffered under the new regime.) Matthew Bousquet, meanwhile, has taken a job in Yountville as executive chef at Bistro Jeanty, while his wife Bryan is going to spend more time on motherhood. [BiteClub, Earlier]
