Feast reports the encouraging news that the owners of Silver Lake’s Barbrix are planning a new seasonal restaurant named Cook’s County, due at the end of next month in the old home of Bistro LQ on Beverly. We’re always eager to see what veterans of Campanile and Lucques are up to, and welcome the news that kitchen power couple Daniel Mattern and Roxana Jullapat (both battle-hardened veterans of Campanile, Lucques, AOC, and most recently, found together at Ammo) will head the restaurant as exec chef and pastry pro, respectively.

The restaurant will serve seasonal menus that change two times a week for lunch and dinner, with brunch planned for the weekends. So far, Jullapat is promising a “fruit-forward” market menu, with possibilities like grilled lamb sausages and the roasted apple and pear foccaccia you see above. Just like that, it looks like autumn has another thrilling opening for us to stalk.

Cook’s County, 8009 Beverly Blvd. West Hollywood.
