Signage recently went up for Brewster & Co., the joint Rose Bar alum Frank Roberts is planning for the corner of Broome and Mott Streets. Grub got nosy and learned that the basement space will house an 1850s-themed “oyster saloon” with a roaring fireplace for cold winter nights, opening sometime in early 2012. Between this place and the 1855-themed Vault at Pfaff’s, we’re beginning to suspect the industrial age might be the next hot nightlife era.
