Epic Names Mark Pollard as New Executive Chef; Mayor Proclaims ‘Chef Priscila Satkoff Day’

River North: Epic just announced that Mark Pollard will be stepping in as its new executive chef. The California chef has worked at The Standard in Los Angeles, Parker in Palm Springs, and, most recently, Asia de Cuba Restaurant in Hollywood. New lunch and dinner menus are expected to be released soon. [Grub Street]

Old Town: In recognition of being inducted into The Chicago Culinary Museum’s “Chefs Hall of Fame,” Mayor Emanual has proclaimed September 29 as “Chef Priscila Satkoff Day.” The official induction ceremony for the chef of Salpicon! was delayed, and will now take place on November 16.
